1. Introduction

Welcome to Simply Booked ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our booking platform provided through businesses using our service, and the use of our website (Simply Booked). By booking an appointment through a business using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you are a business using our platform, separate terms apply.

2. Booking Appointments

When you book an appointment with a business ("Business") using the Simply Booked platform, you provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, and appointment details. This information is necessary to schedule and manage your booking.

3. Data Storage and Processing (Consent)

To provide the booking service, we need to store and process the personal information you provide. This information includes:

  • Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number.
  • Appointment Details: Service booked, date, time, assigned staff member (if applicable), price, and any notes provided.
  • Booking History: Records of past and future appointments with businesses using our Platform.

This data is stored securely in our database, managed using Supabase, a third-party backend service provider. The Business you are booking with has access to your information to manage their schedule, provide the service, and contact you regarding your appointment. We process this data solely for the purpose of facilitating the booking and enabling the Business to manage its operations via the Simply Booked platform.

By proceeding with a booking and checking the consent box, you explicitly agree to the collection, storage, and processing of your personal data as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy for the purpose of managing your appointment.

4. Data Usage by Businesses

The Business you book with may use your contact information to send reminders, confirm appointments, or communicate important updates related to your booking. They may also use aggregated, anonymized booking data for their internal analytics. Their specific use of your data beyond the direct management of your appointment is governed by their own privacy policies. Simply Booked is not responsible for the data handling practices of individual businesses using the Platform outside the scope of the Platform's functionality.

5. User Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data stored by Simply Booked on behalf of a Business. To exercise these rights, please contact the Business you booked with directly. They can manage your data through their Simply Booked account. If you have difficulties contacting the Business or have concerns about data stored directly by Simply Booked, you may contact us via our Contact Page.

6. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access. We rely on Supabase's security infrastructure for data storage. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Use of Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Business's booking page may use cookies or similar technologies necessary for the booking functionality (e.g., session management). Our main website may use cookies for analytics and performance. Please refer to our separate Cookie Policy (if applicable) or Privacy Policy for more details.

8. Limitation of Liability

Simply Booked provides the platform for booking appointments. We are not responsible for the quality of services provided by the Businesses using our platform, nor for any disputes arising between you and the Business. Our liability is limited to the provision of the booking software as described.
